Shareable Online Notepad — Export and Share Your Notes
NoteKraft is designed for private, local writing — but your text doesn't have to stay locked in your browser forever. Here's every way to get your notes out and share them with others.
Three Ways to Share Your Notes
1. Download as .txt File
Click the 💾 Download button in the toolbar. NoteKraft creates a plain text file with a timestamped filename (like notekraft-2026-04-04.txt) and saves it to your Downloads folder. From there, you can attach it to an email, upload to cloud storage, or send via any messaging app.
When to use: Archiving notes, sharing via email attachments, creating permanent backups.
2. Copy to Clipboard
Click the 📋 Copy button to copy your entire document to your clipboard. Then paste it into any application — email, Slack, Google Docs, a CMS, or anywhere that accepts text.
When to use: Quick sharing via messaging apps, pasting into documents, moving text between tools.
3. Print
Click the 🖨️ Print button to open your browser's print dialog. NoteKraft auto-hides the toolbar, header, and footer so only your clean text appears on the printed page. You can also "Print to PDF" for a portable document.
When to use: Physical copies, creating PDFs for formal sharing, meeting handouts.
Comparison of Sharing Methods
| Method | Speed | Best For | Privacy |
|---|---|---|---|
| Download .txt | 2 clicks | Archiving, email attachments | File stays on your device |
| Copy to clipboard | 1 click | Pasting into other apps | In your clipboard only |
| Print / PDF | 2 clicks | Physical copies, formal docs | Depends on printer |
Privacy-Preserving Design
Unlike collaborative notepads that require uploading your text to a server, NoteKraft's sharing methods keep you in complete control. Your text only travels when you actively choose to share it. There's no background syncing, no cloud uploading, and no "shared workspace" that others can access without your knowledge.
